A little-lion of unframed memories,

And a zillion of emotion fashioned.

I am going to remember this moment

For life ever more.

I know I will.

I am growing now

As change morphs into challenge

Or is it the trickery of life;

Its’ taste a treat with hindsight.

I love you like the ageless tree-trunks outside

Soldiering for our love,

Shielding our lives

But silently their oldness untold;

A lineage wiped out by shifting winds,

Frailty unknown and fear untried like molten tar.

I will remember this moment

Like sweet scone-warm afternoons

Of childhood

Of a lesser life gone by

My memory will hold this

A single chord to my lyric

Reeling with euphoric lilt.
